Barbara Simon is a photographer / artist based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.Graduated in 1995 BA (Hons) Visual Arts. PGCE, Art & Design in 1997.She works in various media inc:- 35 mm film, pinhole photography, SLR digital photography and painting.At present lecturing, undertaking commercial work, and working on personal projects. (iv)Photographers is an ad-hoc group, living in and around South West Wales, formed in the summer of 2007. The members of the group Alex Essex, Barbara Simon, Chris Rees and James Ramage have wide and varied skills in painting, printing, video production, music, and promotion, but all have a passion for photography.
The raison detre of the group is mutual encouragement, criticism, assistance, and inspiration in any available photographic technique and medium that comes to mind. Since that first suggestion each member has made their individual explorations in film and digital media to eventually provide their first joint exhibition at Haverfordwest Library in November of 2009.
Not being content to rest on their laurels, the group continue to juggle busy lifestyles in order to experiment and develop their photographic ideas. They continue to build up individual portfolios and will present periodic exhibitions, as the opportunity occurs.
