I studied BA (Hons) Visual Arts at Swansea, graduated in 1995 then a PGCE in Art & Design (Secondary Education) at UWIC in 1997. I returned  home to Pembrokeshire to lecture in Art and Design and Photography. I also work as a fine art painter, and fine art photographer.

 

I work in various media such as, 35mm film, pinhole photography, digital photography and silkscreen printing, combined with mixed medium painting.

I have exhibited my work throughout Pembrokeshire, also, Llantwit Major, Carmarthen,The Royal Cambrian Academy, Conwy and London.

For my latest mixed medium work I use canvas board, acrylic paint, sometimes text relating to the artwork and maps of image location.

 

The work is layered using brushes, and pallet knife then sometimes sanded back to reveal under painting layers. Onto this I silkscreen print my own Photoshop manipulated photographic images.

All of my photographic silk screens are used for one artwork only, then the screens are stripped, this makes each of my artworks unique.

I draw my inspiration from my love of Pembrokeshire. Also my travels throughout the UK and abroad.
