At last I have found a little time to finish one of my own artworks. Here it is... "Two Boys Digging", Newport Pembs 50cm x 39cm I don't think in all my 21 years of lecturing have I known such a busy term. Difficult teaching wearing a face mask all day, gelling and washing hands, trying to keep a distance and with all the windows open, rather cold too.
All that said, great to be back with students or as they are now called "learners". I have been with A level Fine Art learne

Well it was when I took this photo for this artwork. Seems a long time ago, but won't be long now as the days are starting to get longer, hopefully by the summer we won't be in lockdown and brighter days ahead. Around 18 January an extra hour of daylight will come, and every 28 days (four weeks) thereafter, an hour or so of sunshine should lighten the days. Winter Surfing You would think that being in lockdown over the last 10 weeks would result in lots of artwork being created. Pleased to say that at last, I have finished one. It is also framed, as I had some frames premade a few months back from Robel, beautiful quality frames as always.
Many layers of paint on this painting, as it took me ages to decide on the right colours. As always with creating art never sure when a painting is finished, sometimes you just have to stop.
After a few days at home trying to teach students from a forum and spending time in the garden, I had to check what day it was. Yes it's Wednesday, my usual work at home creating day. So set up kitchen ready to start a new piece, my home beach Broad Haven, with surfers and dog walkers, (image taken few months ago.) Had to get the image edited and printed ready for screen exposure last week. Bit of a rush as Friday was the last day teaching. Newport and Pure Art galleries are
